Stress is a normal part of life and can be a positive when alerting us to certain problems or it can be a negative if relief and rest are not properly taken.
Stress comes from life situations, but it can also come from perceptions about life situations, such as worries about failure, perfectionist tendencies and even the “what if’s”. Without proper relief, stress can manifest itself physically in many ways such as headaches, upset stomach, elevated blood pressure, chest pain, and problems sleeping. Continual stress can lead to sickness and disease.
Stress affects the mind, body, and spirit.
It is harmful to our relationships.
